In 1999 I was hired as a helper for heating and air conditioning (HVAC) company. At that time, I was referred to as "the kid" for being young with limited background in the trade. I was tremendously eager and willing to learn. Fortunately, I was working with some of the best and the brightest in the industry. It did not take me long to go from helper to installer to service technician.
I so thoroughly enjoyed the day to day work that it became apparent that this would be my career. Once that important decision was made, I set my mind on becoming expert in the trade. With so much to learn, beyond hands-on experience, I started to attend HVAC school. It was through these classes that I learned the importance of emerging technologies, energy conservation and fundamental theory of heating and air conditioning.
Between my work experience and schooling, I achieved complete confidence in my abilities to start my own company. In 2005, just as I was about to start my own family, I also started the Coolport family. Striking a balance between raising children and growing a strong and reputable business often required sacrifice; which I willingly made for the success of both "families".
I have been extremely fortunate over the years to assemble a team of hardworking, honest professionals. The integrity of my team and the way they represent me and my company, is of extreme importance. I am very proud to say the are also my "family". The Coolport customers, like neighbors; become our friends. Referrals from them have helped us create an ever growing base of very satisfied customers!
