In 1999 I was hired as a helper for heating and air conditioning (HVAC) company. At that time, I was referred to as "the kid" for being young with limited background in the trade. I was tremendously eager and willing to learn. Fortunately, I was working with some of the best and the brightest in the industry. It did not take me long to go from helper to installer to service technician.

I so thoroughly enjoyed the day to day work that it became apparent that this would be my career. Once that important decision was made, I set my mind on becoming expert in the trade. With so much to learn, beyond hands-on experience, I started to attend HVAC school. It was through these classes that I learned the importance of emerging technologies, energy conservation and fundamental theory of heating and air conditioning.

Between my work experience and schooling, I gained the confidence to start my own company. In 2005, as I began my family, I also launched Coolport. Balancing family life and business required sacrifices, but both "families" thrived. I’m proud of my honest, hardworking team, who, along with our loyal customers, have helped Coolport grow through referrals and strong relationships.
